Hip Hop is storytelling. Meditation is the practice of special awareness. When these two forms of expression are combined both communities benefit in exponential ways.

Box Breathing Technique in rhyme form
Meditation is an ancient practice that has been observed by humans for millennia. The Holy Scriptures speak of the blessedness that occurs from cultivating the heart, soul, and mind into a unified oneness that magnifies the Creator. Psalm 1:1-2; Psalm 119:97; Joshua 1:8; Isaiah 26:3.
There are many different types of meditation. Some of the more popular genres are mindfulness, loving kindness, visualization, mantra, and even yoga. Most important is that you commit to doing the actual work and cultivate the lasting changes and benefits that accompany meditation practice. One of my favorite styles of meditation as of late is Affirmations. These are positive words spoken with an open and believing heart. In the Sacred Hum project I recorded a piece that I call "Rhymeformation" which is simply Affirmations performed in rhyme-form.
Here's a sneak peek of Rhymeformation that's coming out on the Sacred Hum Project! Enjoy!
